Cybercafes

The easiest way to get online in Croatia is usually at a cybercafe. There are about a dozen in Zagreb, a half-dozen in Dubrovnik and at least one in every town along the coast and the major city of every island. The vast majority of them have high-speed connections and the cost is usually about 20HRK per hour. For the most part, they are prepared to print out your documents as well as to upload your digital photos and burn them onto a CD. The young staff most likely speak English and hours are long--especially in the summer.

Hotels

All five-star, four-star and most three-star hotels in Croatia have internet access in some form, at least in a business centre with a high-speed connection. Wifi connections are also becoming ubiquitous and are often, but not always free. Curiously, the cheaper hotels and youth hostels are most likely to offer free wifi. Most private accommodation does not include internet access of any kind.

Free Wireless Access

Cheeky Rijeka is the only town to offer free wireless access from its main street, Korzo. Otherwise there are few free hotspots. You can get a paying connection from any ACI marina as well as many hotels.
