Room in Grand Hotel Bonavia
Grand Hotel Bonavia

Private accommodation in Rijeka is nearly non-existent but there are a few good hotels. My favourite Rijeka hotel is the four-star Grand Hotel Bonavia. First of all, the location is great--right in the centre of town and near the port. You can practically roll out of bed and onto your ferry plus it's easy to get home after a night of clubbing. Then there are the rooms which are sumptuous and well-outfitted with minibars, flat screen TVs, internet plugs and other comforts. And finally, there's the warm and professional service. The English-speaking staff is happy to help out with sightseeing suggestions and ways to make your stay in Rijeka a pleasure.

There are other hotels in Rijeka of course. A little further out of town is the four-star Best Western Hotel Jadran with a spiffy wellness centre. Closer to town is the two-star Hotel Continental and the newly renovated three-star Hotel Neboder. Budget travellers to Rijeka will enjoy the new Rijeka Youth Hostel located in a 19th-century villa just outside town.

Private Accommodation in Rijeka

There is nearly nothing in the way of private accommodation in Rijeka. Folks just head right to lovely Opatija for a room or apartment. See Opatija accommodation.
