The big news about toilets in Croatia is that there's no news. Toilets are pretty much what you'd expect: Western-style (not "Turkish") and stocked with the same type of toilet paper you'll find back home. Don't expect the latest technology though. Automatic self-cleaning toilets have not yet made an appearance in Croatia. Public toilets in cities are few and far between although you will find them at bus stations, train stations and service stations. They usually cost 2 or 3HRK which you will leave with the attendant. If there's no public toilet available, Croatians are relatively tolerant if you need to duck into a cafe, bar or restaurant. More Practical Croatia Travel Information
