Many (if not most) regional guidebooks on sale in tourist offices have local recipes in English and some are quite good.  To get the most out of local cookbooks you'll need to understand the measurements commonly used in Croatia .

Often, you'll see DL which stands for Decilitre. Convert as follows:

1 decilitre = 10 centilitres = 1/2 cup

You also may see DAG or DG which stands for Decagram. Convert as follows:

10 decagram   =   100 grams   = 4/5 cup
