The three-star budget hotels in Zagreb are small and comfortably outfitted.
You won't find a hotel restaurant which is something to think about
if the hotel is out of the town centre. (See where
to stay in Zagreb). You can expect air-conditioning, satellite
TV with English-language stations, tidy rooms, cheerful decoration and
staff that speak at least some English. Breakfast will be a cold buffet.
You may not have an internet connection from your room although there
may be a hotel "communications centre". Out of town hotels
are usually near a tram stop (see Zagreb tram
map).
