Podstrana

Although there are a couple of medieval churches, Podstrana's main draw are its pine-fringed beaches.

Split locals come here when the weather starts heating up and a number of hotels and private guesthouses have opened their doors  to beach-seeking tourists.

Podstrana makes a great alternative to the Split city centre, especially if you'd like to combine a beach and cultural holiday.

Travel Tip

Dozens of buses connect Split and Podstrana. if you're travelling by car, I would advise leaving it in Podstrana and taking the bus into Split in order to avoid the parking hassle.
