Ferry from Venice to Croatia August 2010

Hi,
We are planning on travelling from Venice to Croatia in August. We want to get to the overnight ferry from Rijeka to Dubrovnik but there does not appear to be any ferries from Venice to Rijeka, does anyone know if this ferry exists?
If not it appears that we need to get the ferry from Venice to Pula (on this website is Pula also called Pola?).
If we get that ferry is it far from Pula to Rijeka? Any advice is much appreciated!
