Jadrolinija runs a coastal ferry route only from May 31 to September 29. The route covers Rijeka, Split, Hvar, Korcula, Mljet and Dubrovnik. (See a map of
the Coastal Ferry route)
The schedule below is tentative only as it has not been officially confirmed but, based on past experience, I can say that it's unlikely to change.
Although the coastal ferry once served an essential function transporting cars and freight up and down the coast, its usefulness has been supplanted by the new coastal highway that runs from Rijeka to just south of Split. Consequently, the coastal car ferry is somewhat under-utilized which is bad for Jadrolinija's bottom line but very good for travellers seeking a comfortable, uncrowded ride! And the coastal ferry is comfortable. The ferry is large, with a spacious dining hall and multiple lounges to stretch out. There are cabins for the overnight passage between Rijeka and Split and the interior spaces are all air-conditioned. A no-smoking policy is enforced. See more on Jadrolinija's on-board amenities.
