Att the Hotel Splendid every room has a view of the sea. I remember how enchanting it was to wander out to my terrace in the morning and gaze over the blue Adriatic. On a clear day I could even see the Elaphiti Islands. Conveniences such as air-conditioning, minibars and satellite TVs made the spacious rooms extremely comfortable as well.

Best of all was the private little cove only steps from the hotel Splendid. The water was calm and it never seemed to be overcrowded. Noise, traffic and crowds were far, far away.

Located on Dubrovnik's leafy Lapad peninsula, the hotel is a short 10-minute walk to the bus stop where you can board buses into town. (See a bus map of Dubrovnik). Other, larger beaches are also within reach.
