We traveled to Croatia the last two weeks of Sept. (actually17 days) Flew into Split spent a couple day and the drove up the coast, stpping in Trogir , and Primosten for a lunch. Then on to Zadar where we stayed for a couple days in a lovely house. The on to Plitvice Park for a couple of days Beautiful. Never saw so many waterfalls in one place. Great hike. Then drove back to Split and caught a ferry to Hvar where we stayed for three days and then ferry to Dubrovnik for the rest of trip, where we stayed in a great apt in the old city. One day we took a small tour bus to Mostar in Bosnia. Flew home out of Dubrovnik. Just a fantastic trip and would recommend to all. We did use your e-books plus a couple others. Thank you so much you are such a great resource . More.

Hello Jeanne, Last year I rented an apt. in Split for the month of May.I found your site while doing my research. One of the most helpful things was the link to the Cruise Ship Arrivals. While some days 40,000 passengers debark into Dubrovnik, with the help of that link I was able to spend 3 nights there . . .More.

My wife and I have just returned from our holiday half of which was spent in Slovenia and half in Croatia. I researched for quite a long time before deciding where to go and what to see but kept things fairly simple this time. We went to Zagreb from Ljubljana by train. Very simple to book locally and very cheap. The journey took 2 hours and was very picturesque.
We also took trips whilst in Zagreb, one of which was to Plitvice Lakes (Plitvička Jezera as it is called/written locally).
We went by bus from Zagreb bus station and it was all very simple to arrange. The staff at the bus station were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. You can even book the bus online and pick up the tickets at the station 24 Hours a day (you don't necessarily need proof of purchase but some sort of ID is necessary if you don't have a print out. I used my I-phone as the email was on it)
We spent three nights in Zagreb and enjoyed every minute of it. It is a shame that more folk don't visit as the city has so much to offer, we certainly weren't short of things to see and do.
After Zagreb we flew down to Split for another three nights and just chilled out by wandering the old town picking great restaurants for dinner having the occasional (purely medicinal) beer and enjoying the sun sea and sights. More.
