Zagreb's Airport (ZAG) is at Pleso, 17km southeast of central Zagreb. There's only one terminal at Zagreb airport but a big expansion is in the works which should be finished in 2011. (This means that construction may be underway when you arrive).

Airport Parking

There are three parking lots offering about 550 spaces. Fees are from 10 to 15HRK per hour.

Ground Transport from the Airport

By road
Take route 30 directly into downtown Zagreb
By taxi
A taxi from the airport to downtown Zagreb costs from 150 to 250 HRK, depending on the time of day (evenings, Sundays and holidays are more expensive).
By bus to Zagreb
The airport bus leaves every half hour for the 25-minute trip to Zagreb bus station and it costs 30HRK.  

• From the bus station, take trams 2 or 6 to the train station, the Hotel Esplanade, Arcotel Allegra, Sheraton, Palace and other Zagreb hotels.

By bus to Rijeka

• There's a daily bus from Zagreb airport to Rijeka that leaves at 3.30pm and returns from Rijeka at 5am. The price is 145HRK.
