Trieste Lines runs a highly convenient summer catamaran to Piran (Slovenia), Rovinj and Pula. The line runs every day but Wednesday from 26 June to 1 September 2015 and takes just short of two hours. The price is €23.40/40 one way/return Trieste-Rovinj with reductions for children and seniors. As it leaves Trieste in the morning and returns in late afternoon, it's even possible to visit Istria on a day trip from Trieste!
