With a relatively flat terrain (in the Lower Town) and the construction of a network of bike lanes, Zagreb has become increasingly pleasurable to explore by bike. The city has implemented a system of hourly bike rentals called Next Bike (www.nextbike.hr) which allows users to rent a bike for less than €1/hour. A credit or debit card is essential and a smartphone is desirable.
