Flights to Rijeka 2020

Domestic

Trade Air runs seasonal flights from Rijeka to Osijek, Split and Dubrovnik.

International

Many low-cost carriers choose to fly to Rijeka. For example Ryanair connects Rijeka to London (Stansted), Frankfurt, Charleroi and Stockholm. Eurowings connects Rijeka to London (Heathrow), Newcastle, Salzburg, Vienna, Bari, Brindisi, Cagliari, Catania and Florence as well as cities in France, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Tunisia, Greece, Switzerland, Sweden, Hungary and many other European countries.

Rijeka's Airport

Rijeka's airport is actually on Krk Island, 30km from town. There is an airport bus meeting all flights and leaving from the town centre to the airport.

Zagreb Airport to Rijeka

If you're flying to Zagreb there's a bus shuttle transfer from the Zagreb Airport to Rijeka. It leaves Zagreb at 3.30pm and Rijeka at 5am. The cost is 180Kn. See the Pleso Prijevoz website to buy tickets online or call 51-330 207 or 51-336 757 for further information.

Trains to Rijeka

From the Zagreb train station there are four trains daily to Rijeka (5 hours). There are also seven daily trains from Ljubljana (3 hours).  Although it is possible to take a train to Rijeka from Split, there's a long change in Zagreb making it much faster to take the bus.

Booking a train to Rijeka

Did you know that you can actually book your train to Rijeka online plus have the ticket delivered to your home? Well you can. You can check out the schedules of trains to Rijeka and book your ticket at Omni.

Buses to Rijeka

The frequent buses to Zagreb make bus travel a cheaper and more convenient method of getting to Rijeka than the railway. There's hardly a spot in Croatia that doesn't have a bus to Rijeka. An excellent site for bus information and online booking is getbybus.

Ferries to Rijeka
Rijeka's Port

There are no car ferries to or from Rijeka, only passenger ferries. Jadrolinija connects Rijeka with Rab and Novalja on Pag Island. Another Jadrolinija ferry connects Rijeka with Cres and Mali Losinj. Now a new service from GV-Zadar connects Rijeka with Krk, Lopar, Silba and Zadar in the summer providing a vital link between northern and southern Croatia.
